It’s late and I have to get up early, get out of bed, go to Birmingham and take photos of a conference.
I’m a little thin on words.
I was watching In Treatment earlier. Something in the character of the doctor made me think about a problem in a new way.
Gratitude for that.
I ate pasta an hour ago. Possibly no need. Eyes Wide Shut was on the telly. I was half-thinking about the deliberately slow dialogue, and half-wondering what Kubrick was trying to say about desire. For a movie I like, I have to admit it doesn’t always hang together, so it’s hard to say.
Due to current circumstances, all music even vaguely emotional/shoegazey/sentimental goes in the bin.
That goes for techno-trance too.

Angelo Rizzuto was a recluse who shot a lifetime’s worth of photographs, while living in a little shitbox rented room and heading out onto the streets on New York at the same time every day. I picked up a copy of book about him in Edinburgh. Interesting story. Just not sure if the photographs stand up too well out of the context of his story. Though worth a read.

Repositioned in Glasgow are starting a series of courses. Portraiture in on this Saturday. £65, but the guys probably know what they’re on about. And there’s free lunch.
